We here at Paragon Jousting hope everyone is having a safe and happy holiday season. As we are about to roll into 2011, we'd like to remind everyone to be safe out on the roads, we want you all to come and see us in the new year.

We would be remiss if we didn't encourage everyone to go out and vote in the 6th Annual Renaissance Festival Awards. Having finished in the top 5 the last 3 years has been great. We're hoping to move up to number 1.

Thanks to all of you for your great support over the years. Remember, no other joust troupe is doing a show like Halloween Knights.

We've finished our first three weekends of The Connecticut Renaissance Faire and we've got two more weekends to go. There are a lot of exciting things going on for these next two weekends.

Firstly, CTRF will be presenting Halloween Knights. The faire will be staying open until 8pm on Saturdays October 16 and 23. There will be special Halloween themed events as well as a special night time joust at 7pm. Think about the great shows you currently get from Paragon Jousting but remove light and add fire, special effects, music and a great dark storyline. We're proud to present this at CTRF and hope everyone comes out to see it.

Secondly, Paragon Jousting is currently being featured in Lexington, KY as part of The Literary Horse: When Legends Come to Life exhibit at the Lexington Central Public Library. Photos being featured include "She is the Lady of the Lake," "End of the Ages," "The Joust," and "Crispin Crispian". The photo exhibit is running from September 1 - October 31, in celebration of the World Equestrian Games. We're very excited to be a part of this exhibit.

So if you're in CT, come see us at The Connecticut Renaissance Faire and if you're in KY, go see us at the Lexington Central Public Library. We look forward to seeing everyone at our shows.

We haven't been idle. We've just been very busy. So here's some news from Paragon Jousting.

We'd just like to remind everyone that the Paragon Jousting team is hitting the road in about a week for our debut performance in the Great Lakes region! We will be jousting at the Illinois Renaissance Faire in Danville, Illinois on August 28th and 29th. We're performing three times per day with shows featuring our signature armored combat demonstrations. If you are in the lakes region, come visit us and our new friends at IRF!

Over the weekend, Paragon Jousting put on an armored combat demonstration for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and their families in Troop 170 in Newtown, CT. Sir Devon and Sir William strapped on the armor and taught the kids about how and why different weapons work. Sir Devon also instructed the kids how to subdue and capture a dragon because they are a protect species. (Too bad he was using Sir William as bait.) Everyone had a fantastic time, even Sir William who's armor was systematically destroyed by Sir Devon.

Paragon Jousting is excited to announce our return to the mid-west for the Illinois Renaissance Festival. We are looking forward to meeting with King Henry the VII at this midwestern Renaissance Faire. The faire is only an hour and a half from Indianapolis, quite close to the Indiana border. So come out and join all of us as we explore the Great Lakes region and joust for everyone's pleasure.

It's a new year and some would say a new decade (we're not getting into the starting on 0 or 1 debate here). Paragon Jousting is looking forward to expanding our horizons this year and we look forward to seeing all the many fans we meet at our shows throughout the country. Remember to ask for Paragon Jousting at your favorite faire.

To start things off, you'll see we're starting to list our bookings for the year on our Schedule Page. We're just getting started so keep checking back.

We're working on a few things on the site as well. We're actively working to redesign the site and we think people will be very excited by the changes. Once again, keep checking back to see what's going on.

We've got some other exciting things to annouce coming soon as well. Here's looking forward to a great 2010.
