Shadow Joustington

Jim Dandy Shadow came to Paragon Jousting in the late summer of 2007. Becca bought him from an auction dealer in the mid-west. Very little is known about Shadow's past or his previous career, but from the moment he arrived in New York, he fit in. From day one, this flashy gelding showed he has what it takes to be an amazing joust horse. Shadow neck reins, corners and stops like a western barrel racer but he has the curious personality of a big puppy dog. From day one of his training, Shadow has been so enthusiastic about jousting that he renamed himself 'Shadow Joustington'. The name stuck.

Shadow is solid black and registered with the American Paint Horse Association. He is eight-years-old and stands about 15.3 hands high.

In 2008, Shadow travelled all across the country, not missing a single Paragon Jousting performance. Working with both Becca and Marshall he has performed at almost 40 different joust shows, establishing himself as a crowd favorite and front line warhorse. Shadow has jousted two years in a row at The Great New York State Fair in their 5,000 seat coliseum.
