Scott Rodlin

Scott Rodlin has been performing at Renaissance Faires since 1996. During his career he has worked as a stage combatant, a full armored fighter, a jouster, a fight captain and as a fight director. He has worked at Renaissance Faires, colleges, schools and summer camps from Maine to Wisconsin. As a fight choreographer, he uses his knowledge of the fighting styles of period fight masters Fiore De Liberi and Johannes Liechtenaueur to bring both realism and excitement to his fights.

"Since we started in 2003, we have travelled extensively, and learned a lot along to way. Every show is different, and presents its own unique challenges. We've jousted in 100+ degree temperatures, and jousted in heavy rain. We've arrived at shows, set the joust field, and jousted an hour after we pulled into the parking lot. We've had a lot of fun, and met some great people along the way."

The past few years we have seen tremendous growth for Paragon Jousting, in terms of horses and resources, as well as geographic coverage and expansion into new markets. The company now provides jousting demos at Renaissance Faires, Camps, Horse Expos, as well as private events.

"Managing the growth of the company is just as challenging as putting on consistently great shows. It keeps me busy all year long," says Scott. "We travel all Summer and Fall, and book new venues and train horses all Winter and Spring. It's hard, but I love what I do and I wouldn't have it any other way"
